Happy 16th Birthday T’naiha

Wow!  Where does time go!  Just yesterday she was 3 and now she is “16”.  We are so proud of her and all she has accomplished in her short 16 years.  We love her and hope she had a great Birthday!

Saying Goodbye

Saying goodbye to a teacher, leader, role model, other mom & friend is not easy.  After over decade of having Laurel Barham in our lives her and her family are moving to California.  She has been a great influence in our lives as well as many, many children in theater.  My memories of her go beyond words. Laurel – I love you – You will be missed!

Trenton’s Update

This is what a missionaries shoes look like after 9 1/2 months out. . . I think he needs a new pair – ya think?  Good thing he has another pair while we ship him the replacement pair!!

BACK TO SCHOOL

Wow!  Can you believe it is time for school to start already!!   So not ready for homework and projects!  Argh!!  I truly wonder if the teachers realize how much work the parents have to do to get all the projects done… oh well, here we go for another fun filled year of exciting adventures.

Trenton’s been transferred. . .

President Carlos said, “Yes, Elder Ellis was transferred on July 15th to Tuguegarao.  They are in a zone that is on fire....On August 21st, the zone has 58 people slated for baptism.  That is a record!  In some missions, that is all they get in a year......  Our mission averages 30 baptisms per month, so even for us, it is a wonderful thing....”

We are so proud of T’naiha and all of her accomplishments.  She is a wonderful daughter and an amazing student.  She is graduating with High Honors from Oak Canyon Jr. High.  We are so excited for her new adventures ahead of her.  We love you T’naiha!!

Quilting Day!

I finally made it to my “Undercover Quilters” quilt group today!!  Finally!  Haven’t been forever! 

Missed my friends . 

I made this quilt for my grandma for Christmas.  It turned out so dang cute (it is so hard to let them go), but I knew she would love it and she DOES!  She has it on her couch for everyone to see. 

So glad she loves it!!  

Freezer Cooking

Wow what a day.  I spent all day cooking chicken breasts, making freezer meals and baggies of pre-cooked chicken.  Now I am tired.  But I know when I grab out a pre-made meal or a bag of already cooked chicken I will be so glad I did all the prep work.  My broth turned out so good that I froze it for a later date.  Next time I’ll do hamburger.

My niece & nephew got baptized

What a great day in St. George.  My nephew Wyatt and niece Kyara chose to get baptized on Saturday February 27, 2010.  It was a great day!

Elder Ellis

We are so proud of our son serving in the Philippines.  What a great example he is to all our friends and family!  He growing so much!  We are so proud of him.  Trenton and missionaries in front of the Philippines Temple.This is exactly like his room at home looked.  I was hoping for him to learn some organization skills. Guess I will have to keep waiting on that one.
